I used to think a black wrap top was just a black top with extra steps. Gold jewellery reads warmer against black than silver, worth knowing if you’re deciding between the two on your way out the door.
Where it earns its place is the in between occasions, the dinner that’s not quite smart, the meeting that runs into drinks, the day where you genuinely don’t know what you’re doing after five o’clock. One top, two entirely different evenings, and nobody clocks that you didn’t change. That’s the actual win here, not the styling, just the not having to think about it twice.
