A white jumper is a harder thing to get right than its colour suggests. For daytime, pair it with straight leg jeans and boots and let the jumper do the work. For something dressier, a fine knit tucked into a midi skirt with a heeled loafer reads polished without trying too hard.
It suits the moments when you want to look put together without appearing to have laboured over it, an office day, a lunch that matters, travel days when practicality and polish both count. The trick is treating it as a foundation piece rather than a statement, letting the cut and the fabric do the talking, and resisting anything that looks like it will grey after three washes rather than staying crisp.
