Our Favourite Beige Joggers Right Now

I was never into beige joggers. For a long time, I’d actively steered clear. Grey was cool. Black was cool. Beige joggers felt like surrender. Beige joggers were the ones you threw on when you were too lazy to wash your leggings. My coworker Priya wore hers once, heading to collect a parcel from the Croydon sorting office.
She came back in to work and told me someone had asked her where she’d bought them. That’s when it hit me what beige has that grey will never have. Class. Coordinated rather than “UGHHHH I couldn’t be fucked doing laundry”. The good ones fit a vibe. They don’t stray too light or too dark. Like taupe? Stone? But not sandy pink, God no. Please not that yellow sand colour that looks like they’ve been dipped in a drain.

Fabric matters more with joggers than most people give them credit for. Baggy enough and they’ll start creeping up your legs at embarrassing places by lunchtime. Thick enough and you’ll be wincing every time you pull them off over your thighs after being sat in a warm room for an hour. The good ones have some heft to them. Enough that they sit snugly on your waist. With a cuff that fits your ankle, rather than all the way down your shoe. And comes with a stretchy waistband that doesn’t buckle under your belly.
Speaking of on top. Beige goes with literally everything. Highlights the cost of all your other purchases tenfold. They also honestly do most of the heavy lifting.

Wear them with a crisp white shirt. Leave the top button undone. Tuck the top shirt into the bottoms and you’ve got yourself a half-effort look. Slip on a beige sweater and they feel preppy. Throw a navy sweater on over it and you’ve got yourself a cozy morning run kind of outfit. Pair with Chelsea boots and they feel less “stay at home and gorge” and actually weekend-appropriate. Wear them with a pair of shitty sneakers and you’ve got yourself a legit “stayed in all day” outfit.

Gold jewellery compliments beige better than any other colour. Don’t fight me on this. It just works.

Beige joggers can take you anywhere from smart casual to “nah mate I couldn’t be arsed”. Sundays. Working from your fav spot. The school run. That meal where you wanna look fancy but not like you’re trying too hard. They aren’t quite office wear unless your office is Mum’s Team. And definitely not wedding material. But everything in between! I judged these babies for far too long. Consider this my public apology, delivered late.
